What I'm Loving Wednesday

I am linking up with Jamie again for What I'm Loving Wednesday! I have a lot to be thankful for and these are just a few of the things i am loving today! I have been thinking about all the people that have were effected by the tornadoes and rising waters in the south.

I'm Loving:  That it is finally time to put away the coats and socks for awhile! I just love to wear sandals! I need to do some serious shopping for summer work clothes and summer shoes.

I'm Loving: That my aunt from Florida is coming and I get to see her this weekend! It has been too long since i last saw her, i am excited to meet her son Josiah, him and Lily are going to have so much fun playing together!

 I'm Loving: That i get to see Lily and my family this weekend too!! Check out my 4 legged nephew Petey, "turning up the heat" in the background!! Love them both!! :)

I'm Loving:  That my house finally has some color to it! I love the plants and flowers i have planted, getting ready do some more planting this Sunday on the side of our house! The picture if with the flowers and the new roof, next we are either getting new shutters (grey color) or buying new ones and painting them to match the garage door. We are also going to tackle the drywall in the basement... wish us luck!

I'm Loving:  That i am getting a pull behind trailer for my bike, so Macy can go with us on our bike rides and i also want one, so i can ride to the grocery store and get groceries and not waste gas, since it is $4.00 a gallon. Do you think it will go down this June like they are saying?? I am hopeful but i am not getting to excited about it :)

I'm Loving:  My sweet husband and sweet furbaby! Joe is getting his wisdom teeth out on Thursday so i am on nurse duty for the day! Hopefully Macy will help take care of her dad too ;)

Tail Waggin Tuesday Vol 7

Today's Topic is Share your Pet's Favorite Treat(s)

Macy has quite a few treats that she loves, but one of her favorites is..........

CHEERIOS!

Our Vet said they are low fat for such a small dog and we can easily train her with Cheerios, because we can reward her often.

She also loves her morning treat, we call them her "red bone" they are suppose to help with her bones and they smell pretty good too, they are cherry flavored. Orby's Hip Bone Jr's. If you have not given these to your dog, you should try them! You can order them online at Petco or get them at some local Pet stores.

Macy's FAVORITE treat of all time is Merrick Flossies, they are hard to come by right now and we have been saving what she has until we can replenish our inventory of them :) But she goes nuts over these!!

 Here in Eastern Iowa today we are suppose to have temps in the 90's!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I guess we are skipping Spring and heading right for Hot and Humid Summer!

Weekend Recap and 101 things in 1001 days

We had a wonderful weekend! The weather was awesome and we got to see our Mom's so all in all it was a success and went by WAY too fast!

Saturday we were busy we had a few errands to run in the morning, I had to give Macy her flea treatment and her heart guard and she does not enjoy the flea treatment, but loves the heart guard she is silly :) We went to our local Culvers and bought some flowers for around the house, i wasn't sure what i wanted to get, so i just decided Geraniums would do good, because as some people say they are a hearty flower :) I also wanted to do something different in my pot this year, so i asked the lady working if she had any thoughts, and she threw this combination together and said if i take good care of it, i can replant it for an inside plant this winter and it will stay until next year! I can save some money that way! (the flowers in the pot cost around 60 dollars!! )

I told the hubby i didn't want to plant the flowers until next weekend, but after we took my mom out to eat for a late lunch and her and I went and got her flowers, ( i spent way too much time looking at plants and flowers on Saturday!) we decided to fertilize and plant everything, Macy laid in the drive way on her blanket while we did all the hard work! We got everything done and i think it looks good, hopefully it stays that way. I need to get some more mulch to cover the flowers and we should be set for some blooming flowers this summer!! I am still deciding on what perennials to plant on the side of our house, I want to do hostas and something else, but just not sure what to do? After the hard working of planting we went for a much needed bike ride! It was great to get out and ride again, Welcome Spring :)

 I also decided to cross off another thing off my 101 things in 1001 days, i decided to make cupcakes from scratch, the recipe i had looked really good. So i spent the next 2 hours baking the cupcakes, making the frosting and frosting the cupcakes, Joe said they were good, but i thought they were a little dry.......

Sunday we went out to eat with my Mother in law, Father in law and Sister in Law and then we went to the Kernels game ( a local minor league baseball team) and we got a little sun our faces and my hubby had some red arms yesterday!!

Weight Loss Challenge week 4

Linking up on my Friday weigh ins with Mr. & Mrs. Smith and Running Backwards in High Heels for the Weight Loss Challenge, it is hard to believe it is week 4 already! Half way done! Well i am as week behind.... so i am going with week 4 instead of week 5!! :)

Last week i didn't have a weight loss and i was annoyed, but i thought i have been working hard and lifting weights maybe i just gained some muscle mass! So this week i had a SMALL .8 pound weight loss!! It is not much, but it is better than nothing. I did some measuring to see if had lost inches and i have lost inches on my arms, legs and waist, plus my clothes are fitting better and i have more room :) So my boot camp, Jillians is working, it is just toning my fat into muscle :) Well i hope so! I have had a 8.8 pounds weight loss since the beginning of this challenge and i am hoping to lose another 8.8 pounds or 10 pounds!

What are you doing to cut out your cravings? I have a little bit of a sweet tooth, but again i am going to say by cutting the soda out of my daily diet, it has made a big difference in what i crave! I hope everyone is feeling great and feeling healthy!! Keep up the great work!!

It is suppose to be nice weather in Iowa this weekend, so i hoping to get my bike out remember i finally purchased a new one in April, click here to see that post :) I also am planning to buy my flowers and do some planting while spending time with my lovely mother on Saturday and then on Sunday we are celebrating my father in laws birthday and Mothers day at once, so we have another busy weekend!

What I'm Loving Wednesday!

I'm Loving:  My job! Yesterday we had a Spring clean up day to clean our office and the entire building, in the afternoon we played games with all my awesome co-workers, it was a lot of fun and how many of you get to spend the afternoon playing games at work? :) We do this once a year every Spring, so i will be looking forward to next year, as this is my first Spring cleaning day at work!

I'm Loving: That i finished Water for Elephants and I am looking forward to seeing the movie, I am hoping i can convince the hubby to take me to the movie this coming week! It really is a good read if you have not read it, i thought it was an easy read as well, it starts a little slow but then picks up!

I'm Loving: That we FINALLY got some sunshine in our lives in Iowa!! It was a LONG week without any! Welcome sunshine and yard work!! :) I am loving the temperatures we are suppose to get, but look at all that rain :(

I'm Loving: These Vibram FiveFinger shoes, I want to get a pair, but every time i go to our local sports stores they are out! Does anyone have a pair and do you love them?

I'm Loving: This Nylon Knife from Pampered Chef, it is only $5, at first when i got it i thought i will never use this, but I LOVE it and use it all the time!

 I'm Loving: This ring, our anniversary is in September and i think it would just be a perfect Anniversary ring! But Tiffany's is a little pricey, so hopefully next year, i can have this :) (HINT, HINT) :) <3

Tail Waggin Tuesday

It is Tuesday, so it is time to link up with CMAE for Tail Waggin Tuesday, one of my favorite link ups!!

Today's topic is to share "the Look" that your pets give you. The sad puppy dog eyes. The evil glare.

Macy is such a sweet little girl, get this look from her a lot when she is wanting to nap or sleep and we are bugging her! We also get the look of come on, i am ready to go! (But i can't seem to locate a picture of her doing that!)

She is saying come on MOM! I want to nap and I am tired of you taking my picture.

She has been so funny lately, if you say the word Grandma, ride or walk she has been going NUTS she runs in circles and whines really loud! She is tired of the cold weather and is ready for her nightly walks around the neighborhood. It is cold this morning and I think it is suppose to be slightly warmer 50's the next few days and hopefully some 60's over the weekend!

Weekend

Can it really be MONDAY already? We had a busy weekend! Joe was the Best Man in a wedding on Sunday, it was a beautiful day even with the wind! Joe got sun burnt and so did the bride and a few other guys in the wedding! :) Congrats to Nick and Jess!

Joe was so nervous about giving his speech, he kept it a secret and told me to stay out of the office as he wrote what he was going to say, he did a great job and i was very proud of him, he is such a good man, i just love him! I did not take a single picture of us together at the wedding, i am really bad at asking people to take my picture and take pictures of us, i need to get better at it!

I love weddings! We are getting to the end of the busy summers with many weddings, we have now moved onto everyone having babies! It is so fun to watch your best friends become a mommy or daddy!

Next weekend is Mother's day and I am excited to spend some time with my mom and mother in law, i need to do my shopping for flowers for the house this weekend, so I will be setting some time aside for that on Saturday morning! What kind of flowers do you plant that you just love? We will also be buying a new mower this weekend, we have been needing a new one for over a year now, so Joe has one all picked out we just need to go and buy the thing! They are kind of expensive so I hate spending the money on it, but we need it! I am just glad our yard is not too big so we didn't need to buy a riding lawn mower! Maybe with this new mower i will be able to mow the yard?! :)

I have been trying to complete as many items off my 101 things in 1001 days list so i can throw some money into my savings account so I can buy the Nixon 5100!! I am so excited about and it and hope to purchase it soon! I told the hubby that if i lost X amount of weight he could be buy me this too! HAHA! Do you have something you are saving for?

I also need to get my house in spring mode, i need to take down Easter decor and get everything cleaned and dusted off for the warmer months! I am excited to start planning for my garage sale, my mom and I are doing one together, so hopefully we will get rid of lots of things and also after the garage sale, we are packing up the back of the truck and taking everything to good will!
