3 months! No Soda :) & another goal!

Today marks my 3 months with NO SODA!! I am happy i was able to make it through all the 2 o'clock lulls without any soda! It was hard at first and i did and still do have a craving for the carbonation, ( i think :))

I have noticed i am sleeping better and i do feel better because i am more hydrated because i am just drinking water. I also think my skin looks better too, what some H2O will do for the body :)

I am going to try and not get back into the habit of drinking of Soda, but i am sure i will cave and have one here and there!

Have you ever tried to give up soda? If so, were you successful? Do you still drink some now and then?

So, i can cross off another thing on my 101 in 1001 days list :) I am also still needing 3 book recommendations, if you have read any books lately that you loved! Please suggest them to me :)

Also, today i sent out a final payment for a credit card bill!! It feels great to pay something off :) Now that money goes into a savings account :) so happy!
Until next time,

Book Club Friday and 100th Post!!

Happy Friday everyone! I linking up with Megan at A day in the Life.... for book club Friday!
As i told you last week i finished Something Borrowed and Something Blue.  I wasn't sure what i was going to read now, but i decided to stick with the Emily Giffin books and picked up Babyproof.  I was not sure if i was going to love this book as much as i loved the other 2 books, because it is different characters, but as soon as i started i got sucked right in! I am about half way done and i am looking forward to giving you more of a review when i finish, so far i am sad about the unraveling of Ben and Claudia's relationship....

Cover Image
Overview:
From the author of the smash hits Something Borrowed and Something Blue comes a novel that explores the question: is there ever a deal-breaker when it comes to true love?

First comes love. Then comes marriage. Then comes . . . a baby carriage? Isn’t that what all women want?

Not so for Claudia Parr. And just as she gives up on finding a man who feels the same way, she meets warm, wonderful Ben. Things seem too good to be true when they fall in love and agree to buck tradition with a satisfying, child-free marriage. Then the unexpected occurs: one of them has a change of heart. One of them wants children after all.

This is the witty, heartfelt story about what happens to the perfect couple when they suddenly want different things. It’s about feeling that your life is set and then realizing that nothing is as you thought it was--and that there is no possible compromise. It’s about deciding what is most important in life, and taking chances to get it. But most of all, it’s about the things we will do--and won’t do--for love.

I am still looking for a few more recommendations for my 101 in 1001 days, so if you have a favorite please tell me about it!

Can't wait to see what you are reading!

Today marks my 100th post on my blog! I am surprised i have written that many posts, when i started this blog i wasn't sure if i would be able to blog once a week! So i am happy i am still writing! I also want to thank all my followers, love you all!!! And i also love getting all the sweet comments my readers leave! Thank you!!!

I'm Loving: That my one of my best friends is moving back to Iowa!! I am so happy to have her here, can't wait to hang out!!! :)

I'm Loving: This Aveda shampoo for summer hair! I love all Aveda products, but since i am going to be swimming this will help my hair stay nice and not smell like chlorine!

I'm Loving: My sweet and hard working husband, he works full time and is taking 2 college classes this summer! I am so proud of him and I know it is hard to give up your summer fun time to take classes, but he is happy about getting the classes out of the way!

I'm Loving: My sweet Macy girl, she is so funny lately, everytime i get home from work i can hear her whining for me as soon as i come inside! :) What i would do if she wasn't with me at night! I love her!!

Today is Tuesday and HOT!! My thoughts on the Bachelorette..........

I have been a busy lady the last few days! I am kind of excited that it is Tuesday! Tonight i am starting my lap swimming! :) Can't wait plus i need to get in the water because we are having some HOT days here in Iowa, along with most of the United States, we are suppose to hit 100 with it feeling like 105-110 today! So i will be swimming and heading right home to sit in the air conditioning! :) It is too hot for Macy to sit outside, normally she loves to lay on the patio when the sun is out, not yesterday and i am sure she won't want to do it today either!

This is how i felt yesterday after i got home and ran a couple errands!
Image
Here is our weather outlook for the week!I am actually looking forward to some rain, we have been watering our yard already and it is not even July!

Image
On Sunday the hubby and i decided to finally hang our flag pole outside! Looking forward to having it up and using it! I also got a watering pic to water my plants and flowers! I can't wait to use it! The little things in life that get us excited!

So i got sucked into watching the Bachelorette again this season, i have to admit i am not a huge fan of Ashley, i think she is a little bananas sometimes. So my review of last nights episode.... it was terrible i just don't get how she could think Bentley was the man for her!! Also, i felt like she let all the other guys down by crying and carrying on, i said if i was on the show i wouldn't even want to be there anymore because i would feel like she didn't care for me. What do you think? I also had to check out Reality Steve's website to see what he said and also to see who the final 4 are!! :) Who is your favorite? I have to say my favorite bachelor for Ashley is JP! He is just genuinely nice and seems really interested in her no matter what!! So cute! I am going to give away one spoiler, i guess rumor has is Bentley comes back to the show when they are in Hong Kong....... Ashley asks him to come back because she needs closure!! COME ON! Let him go........

Image
What reality TV show would you go on if you could?  The husband and i have always wanted to be on the Amazing Race! It would be so fun to travel the world and get to meet other people, but i think we would fight too much on the show, so maybe we would be a good fit :) I am terrible with directions and i would get mad if we didn't know where we were going!

Hope everyone stays cool and has a great Tuesday!

Until next time,
<3

Book Review: Book Club Friday

I'm linking up with Megan again over at A day in Life for Book Club Friday

This week i am going to tell you about the 2 books i read in one week, last Friday i started Something Borrowed and finished it in 3 days, i wanted to get it done in case i decided to go to the movie! :) I am sure most of you have read it, but i really enjoyed it and here is what Barnes and Noble has to say about the book:

"Rachel White is the consummate good girl. A hard-working attorney at a large Manhattan law firm and a diligent maid of honor to her charmed best friend Darcy, Rachel has always played by all the rules. Since grade school, she has watched Darcy shine, quietly accepting the sidekick role in their lopsided friendship. But that suddenly changes the night of her thirtieth birthday when Rachel finally confesses her feelings to Darcy's fiance, and is both horrified and thrilled to discover that he feels the same way. As the wedding date draws near, events spiral out of control, and Rachel knows she must make a choice between her heart and conscience. In so doing, she discovers that the lines between right and wrong can be blurry, endings aren't always neat, and sometimes you have to risk everything to be true to yourself."

So after i finished this book, which i thought was an easy read and i wanted to find out what happened next, so i got "Something Blue" and started reading that one on Monday and finished it on Wednesday night, i know you are thinking what did she do all weekend! Well the weather was beautiful for a day so i sat outside enjoyed the sun and read! Again, i thought this was another well written book and an easy read, here is what Barnes and Noble had to say about it:

"Darcy Rhone has always been able to rely on a few things: her beauty and charm. Her fiancé Dex. Her lifelong best friend Rachel. She never needed anything else. Or so she thinks until Dex calls of their dream wedding and she uncovers the ultimate betrayal. Blaming everyone but herself, Darcy flees to London and attempts to recreate her glamorous life on a new continent. But to her dismay, she discovers that her tried-and-true tricks no longer apply—and that her luck has finally expired. It is only then that she can begin her journey toward redemption, forgiveness, and true love."

So if you have not had the chance to read either of these, i would read them! Can't wait to see what you are reading!

So i have not started a new book yet, i am hoping to pick one on my Nook tonight and i will let you know which book i decide on!

Happy Friday! Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Until Next Time,
<3

What I'm Loving Wednesday

Here are a few things i am loving on this Wednesday!
If you are not linking up, please link up with Jamie at This Kind of Love
I'm Loving: That it is swimming season! I taught private swim lessons for about 10 years and have always been a fan of the swimming pool and i love to lap swim, so tonight will be my first night of the year hitting the lap swim at my local pool! :)

I'm Loving: That i get to teach my niece swimming lessons this summer! She is too funny and loves the water check out her cuteness in the photo!! How sweet is that little girl, she has curly hair and i love it, even though she will be like me in about 15 years and not like it! :)

I'm Loving:  The show The Voice, did you see last nights episode? It was too cute at the end, i saw it coming so i am anxious to see where things go!
I'm Loving:  That my husband is doing so great at summer school and he has finally decided on a major and is excited to jump into that and also he is thinking about more schooling after his BA :) I am so proud of him!

I'm Loving: How nice my nails look! HAHA, i have been a nail biter for 20+ years and it is on my list of things to STOP doing and i thought since, i had quit the habit of drinking soda i would start this task and see how it would go, i have been "biting free" for 18 days and they look nice i have a small nail and my cuticles and skin around my nails looks better! It is not as nice as it could be but it is a start :)

I'm Loving:  That i am getting to ride my bike more and i am also going to try and do the Kettle bell Swing Challenge, i have to start it tomorrow instead of today because, i need to buy the kettle bell :) Here is a link to watch what it is, you can do 10,000 swings a day! Hoping to get some toned arms :) I am also going to start to run, it has been FOREVER since i have been running, any suggestions on an easy way to get back into it without killing myself? :) Do you use kettle bells? Have you ever tried the kettle bell swing challenge?

I'm Loving:That we are slowly making progress on our basement! I can't wait to spend time down there when it is done! It is so much cooler in the basement then in our upstairs living area! So when the heat is getting to us it is a nice retreat to hang out down there!!

I'm Loving:  My mom, she is the most amazing person i know, she is retiring from her only full time job she has ever had, she graduated from college and started at the place she worked and has never left, it is a bitter sweet for us, we grew up where she worked we ate dinner there and played with the kids she worked with and as of Wednesday May 25th the residential programming ended where she worked, she was lucky to retire, but i think she is a little sad about all the time she spent there is coming to a close. I have never met anyone in my life that has stayed at their first job for 33+ years! She is amazing! I love her and i hope she enjoys her retirement, she deserves it!!

I'm Loving:  Of course my sweet husband and my sweet Macy girl :)

Can't wait to see what your loving today! Happy Wednesday!!

Until next time,
<3
