Fall in Love

I am linking up with Big City Belle for her Fall in Love link up! How can you not love fall and all the great things it has to offer.

Up first of my list is as i lay on my couch and look out my picture window this is what is starting to form :) LOVE! I complain about this tree in the spring because it has helicopters and i don't like that they plug up my gutters and cover my yard, but in the fall it is really pretty! I guess we have a love hate relationship :)

I also am not a coffee drinker, but every once in awhile i crave some warm goodness and i head to get a Pumpkin Spice Latte from Starbucks, as does 90% of the population :) Too good to pass up as the seasons are changing the the weather is getting chilly!

Apples are another great thing that comes with fall, i crave and wait patiently for Honeycrisp apples to hit the shelves at my local grocery store! I scored a couple this past weekend! WooHoo :) With honeycrisp apples i also look forward to apple crisp (no i do not make my apple crisp with those expensive but yummy apples) It is not fall with out apple crisp :) Do you have a great recipe? If so i would love to try it!~

Chicagoland Speedway

Last year my dad, brother, husband and myself went to the Chicagoland Speedway for my first NASCAR race, i grew up watching NASCAR and my dad and brother are big fans. We had a great time and Jason (my brother) was able to go again this year, it rained all day on Sunday in Chicago so the race was on rain delay. He got to go into the pits and was able to get some pictures of some of the drivers and he also got to experience life in the pits! The race was rained out and scheduled for green flag start at 11:00 central time today, Jason was unable to go today. So i am going to share a few pictures of his day in the pits!

I have said that Jason and Kasey Kahne look alike since Kasey started racing, so i think it is funny that he has this picture :)

My sister's boyfriend Danny was also at the race and this is his view of the race today, as he is siting in the pit box for Landon Cassill who is driving the #51 Security Benefits Thank a Teacher Today Chevrolet. How cool is that?  :) Landon and Danny grew up together and are still best friends!

You is kind, you is smart, you is important

My sister and I went to see "The Help" a few weekends ago, i was really nervous about seeing the movie, because I LOVED the book so much, but let me tell you i was not disappointed :)

Aibleen is just as wonderful in the movie as she was in the book, i thought the person who played her did a great job! There were a few parts i wanted them to wait to disclose the information but they did it earlier in the movie :)

I usually don't like to go and see movies after i have read the book, because it ruins how much i loved the book, but this will not disappoint, if you have not seen it or read the book. I HIGHLY recommend doing both :)

I hope everyone has great plans for the weekend, i am looking forward to seeing my family and also watching the Iowa Hawkeyes Football game on Saturday, it looks as if our weather is going to be fantastic!

It is the last farmer's market in our area this weekend as well, so i am hoping to get downtown to get some goodies for the last time and to take Macy one last time, she loves to go and see all the people and other dogs there. Last time she went we bought her a new harness and lead. In other news for Macy she has been walking with me at night, usually she walks awhile and then i have to put her in her carrier and she gets to ride the rest of the walk (spoiled much huh?) So Wednesday night she was walking so good i cut our walk in half and she walked almost 1.5 miles!! That is a long walk for those small little legs on that 4.8 pound body of hers! When we got home she drank water and laid on the floor and relaxed with a big ole' smile on her face, love that sweet face!! She loves to lay with her favorite toy "the lion"

It is Chilly....... and other stuff!

It was a chilly evening for us in Iowa last night..... The low last night was in the 30's, i had to cover my plants and will need to do the same tonight! I sure hope some of this cold weather reaches the south, so they can have a cool down i want the 70's back!! This is what the current temp is right now.... BRRR

The only good thing about a cool down is for us that suffer allergies, the pollen and ragweed are finally getting out of here! I was happy to hear that, the sneezing is getting a bit on the annoying side :)
I have been wanting my niece to say my name for the longest time and she is sure trying, you have to take a listen to the video i have attached, she is saying Mace ( is Macy our furbaby :)) and Tetey ( which is Petey her dog haha) Joe ( my husband) Dadda (her daddy, my brother) and then the last name is mine or as close as she can get to it :) It is so cute, i miss her cute face and can't wait to see her in few weeks!!!

Fall in Love

I am linking up with Big City Belle for the first time for her link up Fall Loves! Can't wait to share some of things i love about Fall.

I love that fall brings back College Football! Who doesn't love cheering on your favorite team and eating all the yummy tailgating food! My team of choice is the Iowa Hawkeyes and yes if watched ESPN it was the game that went into triple overtime this weekend and we lost to our in state rival...... :( I am still in shock haha!

I love the changing of the leaves, to me it is the prettiest thing we have in Iowa, but with the falling of those beautiful falling leaves, comes the snow and yucky ness Winter brings!

I also love that it is time to break out the sweatpants and hoodies :) I love to snuggle in with my fur baby Macy and just relax in my comfy clothes :)

I also LOVE pumpkins! I think they are super cute and fun to pick out at the farm :) My favorite day of the fall is when the Hubby and I head out to pick out our pumpkins, Indian corn and other fall outside decor! This year we are taking Macy for the trip hopefully she will love it too :) sweet little pup!

Alright that is enough fall loves for today! I am sure next week, i will add to the list!

What I'm Loving Wednesday

I'm Loving: The weather we are having! I have finally shut my air off for more than a week and i am guessing i will not have to turn it back on until next year.... i am sad summer is over but i LOVE fall! I sure hope the rest of you are cooling down!

I'm Loving: Briannas Strawberry Vinaigrette Salad Dressing, usually i prefer the Ranch or French dressing this is much better for you and tastes great with lots of things! You must try!

I'm Loving:  I have been looking back at our wedding pictures and i had these on the pews in the church and i still love them, they were unique! I still like them and wish i could use them again :)

 I'm Loving:  These slippers from UGG, i am hoping they appear for my birthday or Christmas :) hint hint hubby :)

I'm Loving:  This dress coat, i currently have a grey, black/white and a bright pink one :) I want more of a classic black and this one is perfect!

I'm Loving:  The marshmallow foaming hand soap from Bath and Body Works, i can't wait to use it for Halloween, i need to wait a couple more weeks before i can put up my Halloween decor :) Do you have your decor up yet?

I'm Loving:  Sparkpeople.com if you have not used it, it is a great way to track your calories, water consumption and exercise, i don't know why i didn't start using this sooner!! :)

I'm Loving:  Of course my sweet and loving husband and our adorable little fur baby Macy :)

Happy September! What are you loving this month?

Is anyone else excited that September is here? I love summer, but fall is just so pretty :)

I love the month of September, it is the kick off to college football GO HAWKS! It also the start of fall (September 23) and it is also the month of our Anniversary! The last 4 years as September 1st has come i get so excited to get to spend another year with my loving Husband! It is hard to believe that we will be celebrating 4 years of wedded bliss this month, can't wait!

One thing we love to do is drive around and look at all the beautiful leaves as they start to change at the end of the month! I also start decorating the house for Fall and Halloween!

What is your favorite thing about September or Fall?

Also are you reading any great books? I am looking for some new reads for my nook :)
