What I'm Loving Wednesday

It's that time of the week to link up with Jamie at This Kind of Love for What I'm Loving Wednesday
It is hard to believe it is already 2012! 2011 went by fast as i am sure 2012 will as well! I have been very blessed and have a lot to be thankful for in 2011 and i am looking forward to what 2012 is going to bring!

I'm Loving:  That i got to catch up with one of my sweet friends Joni, it has been too long since we had chatted and we talked for about 2 hours! She just got engaged and is planning a destination wedding, i am over the moon thrilled for her :)

I'm Loving:  That the hubby and i are looking  to take a vacation, we are just starting to look at locations and trying to figure out when we can go with his busy schedule and also where and what we want to do. Any vacation spots you have been to you that you just loved? any recommendations, either domestic or international?  This is what i am thinking :) The beach!

I'm Loving:  That it is a short week, after having almost 2 weeks off it is hard to get back into a routine! So having a 4 day work week is gong to be nice!

I'm Loving: That i had my first massage last night and it was amazing i am not sure why i waited so long to every get one! Do you you get massages? If so, how often?

GOING TO BE A BIG SISTER!!!

I am thrilled beyond words!! They told us the day after my birthday (Novemeber1st) and i have to say it was the best birthday present i could ask for! Our next little niece/nephew will be arriving sometime in early to mid July!

I'm Loving:  Of course the loves of my life, the hubby and fur baby!

Christmas and Happy Birthday Macy! Whew....

*Be prepared, picture overload! Sorry :) Hope you enjoy!*

We had a wonderful Christmas and i am not quite ready to head back to work tomorrow (Tuesday) after having almost 2 weeks off :) I got lots accomplished over my break while spending time with my loved ones!
We spent Christmas Eve with my family in my hometown, it was so much fun to watch Lily open everyone's presents including her own, she got very excited to open boxes, she would say "wow box" :) We got her a Melissa and Doug easel, Melissa and Doug cupcake set, Under Armour sweatshirt and some coloring books, she seems to like them all :)

Here are a couple of pictures from that day :)

Dora is her favorite so we wrapped all her presents in Dora paper, this is her easel and as you can tell she was hugging  it because she loved it :)

 She is just so funny, she loves the bows and was taking them all all day until we opened presents, isn't she the cutest?

We always try and take pictures on Christmas and we wanted one with Lily and people were making funny faces, so she started to do it too and i just love this picture!! (excuse the nastiness of my closed eyes! )

Do you have any family traditions you do every year? or did you start any new traditions this year? If so what are they?


On Christmas Day we went to my in laws for Christmas, we had a very nice day of good food, snacks and playing games! :)

Here are a few pictures of some of the gift opening there! I was really bad and didn't take any pictures of all of us or of the game playing!

Of course Macy has a stocking at Grandma and Grandpa Adams house, so she was very happy to open it. 

She also got a princess Chihuahua ornament to hang on our tree, because she is a tad spoiled ;)

 My sister in law opening a gift from us that she picked out while we were shopping, aren't those the best gifts to buy? You know they are going to love them!

Finally here is Macy opening her presents and stockings from Santa :)

Santa brought her a car seat and she loves it, she can see out the window and of course we put one of her favorite blankies in there! 

She loved her treats she got some homemade truffles from the Woofables Gourmet Dog Bakery, a flossie and a new toy!

Our sweet fur baby had a birthday on December 26th, blogger was not working for me that day so i was not able to do a post about her big day! So here is a belated birthday post to the best Fur baby around! WE LOVE YOU MACY! She turned 3, so now she is legal to drink :) We bought her a new sweater and she also got a gourmet dog cake from Woofables!  Do you have a dog bakery where you live? If so do you get things from there?

What I'm Loving Wednesday

I'm Loving:  I have only 1 day of work left and then i am off until January 3rd! WooHoo!! Looking forward to the break! On top of relaxing and deep cleaning my house, i get to help my brother and sister in law move into their new house in suburbia Chicago :)

I'm Loving:  That i get to spend time with my family on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, some people are not as lucky, so i am loving that my family lives so close and we can spend time together!
Here is a picture of my side of our family. We are spendign Christmas Eve with my side and Christmas Day with Joe's side, it will be a great time!What are your plans for the Holidays?

I'm Loving:  This chap stick, i LOVE chap stick and can never have enough (might have a problem:)) and when i saw Candy Cane chap stick, i thought it will be great and it is!! I was looking everywhere in town for extras and bought 4 last night :)

I'm Loving:  That i am slowly putting together my New Year's Resolutions, but i am not sharing yet! I will next week :) What are your resolutions? I still need some inspiration for mine :)

I'm Loving:  Of course my sweet husband and furbaby Macy, Macy's birthday is coming up on Monday and i can't wait to give her Birthday bone :)

I am keeping my list short this week, because next week i will have lots to blog about and share!

 I am also looking for some great appetizer recipes for a New Years Party, please share them with me if you will email me and share! I love new recipes, or if you have a favorite dessert recipe you would like to share. :)

Christmas Decorating & 101 in 1001 things

I finally got a few Christmas pictures of the house loaded onto the computer, i have added a few things and changed a few things around since these were taken, so i apologize for it not being complete :) I will take those when all the gifts are wrapped and we are closer to Christmas! I can't believe there is only 12 days of shopping left! Crazy how fast the time has gone, here in Iowa we do not have any snow yet and I am hopeful we will have some before Christmas, we are getting rain on Monday and Tuesday and hopeful that next week the snow will come, i really do enjoy having a White Christmas :) Do you have snow yet?

 Of course Macy has her own stocking at our house and it will be filled from Santa with her favorite treats :)



 I asked for the Willow tree Nativity for Christmas one year and was very lucky to get almost all the pieces to it and then for my Anniversary the following year i was able to buy the 2 missing pieces to complete the set, i am so happy with it and just love it! I think it looks great!

I saw this idea on a blog last year and thought i would try it out this year, i just put ribbon on the door and then went to Hancock Fabric to buy mini clothes pins and that is how i have attached the cards, i have 2 doors with the ribbon in case we get too many cards :) How do you display your Christmas cards?

I had extra bows and didn't want them to go to waste, so i decided to add them to our light fixture above our kitchen table :)

Another thing off my 101 in 1001 days list :) 

A week ago my friend Janelle and I decided to take a Holiday Appetizer cooking class, it was fun and i got lots of really great recipes and i am excited to try a few of them on my own this Holiday season! We are hoping to take another couple cooking classes when the new class schedule comes out after the new year. Have you taken a cooking class? Did you learn a lot? I did learn a lot from this cooking class it just shows that sometimes things can be a lot easier then what you think and i need easy and good recipes :) What is your favorite Holiday Appetizer? If you would like to share the recipe, i would love to have it :) Below are some pictures of our class. (please excuse how terrible i look haha)

As a class we made all the stuff you see on the table, we all picked one recipe to make so we had time to taste everything.

Happy Friday! Do you coupon? :)

TGIF!! I have been so busy this week, the week has flown by! But i am really really looking forward to the weekend, i want to catch up on sleep, catch up on cuddling with my little Macy girl and catching up with my husband, he has been busy studying for finals, finishing up end of semester projects and working overtime, he is a busy man, but i am so proud of him for everything he is doing. I also need to do laundry and clean our house, but who wants to do those things :)

I have finished all my Christmas shopping, but now all those bags and presents sit in the guest bedroom in need of wrapping, i am hopeful that task can also get completed this weekend! Do you have your wrapping done, or do you like to wait until the last minute to wrap? I LOVE to wrap presents, but i am the person that usually likes to wrap a few here and there so i can enjoy all that wrapping fun :)

I am also going to be doing some shopping with coupons at Target, if you have not heard about the gift card sale, please go here and check it out. http://coupons.target.com/target-holiday-elves-coupons I need some ink cartridges for home and with any purchase of ink cartridges you get another $5 target gift card, so i have about 5 things i need to pick up which total over 65 dollars so with coupons and the savings of the gift cards, i am hoping to walk out of Target with my purchases and paying about $20!! So wish me luck! I will of course blog about my savings!! :) Do you coupon? If so what sites do you use to get the best deals? Last week i had a $2 off Maybelline lip color coupon and got the new Baby Lips, lip gloss for .97 cents!! I really like the peppermint one, which one is your favorite?
