What I'm Loving Wednesday

I'm Loving: Our new appliances, we needed them and I was so excited that they were delivered and are now working, just waiting to get the line hooked up to the ice maker :) But let me tell you the dishwasher is a dream it is so quite and cleans the dishes wonderfully!!

I'm Loving: Our cleaning schedule, I have wanted to have one for a long time, but we never got around to doing one and I finally decided I would make one and now we are implementing it! It is not perfect yet but hey it is better then not having one at all :)

I'm Loving:  That is finally grilling season! We dusted off our grill and purchased a new propane tank this past weekend, so we are looking forward to grilling this weekend!

I'm Loving: That my hubby has both Saturday and Sunday off this weekend!!! He normally works Tuesday through Saturday, so to have both days to spend with him and get stuff done is GREAT!! :)

I'm Loving:  That i have not had a soda (Diet Mt. Dew) in over 8 days! The first few days were hard, but I feel pretty good now that I am over that 3 day hump :) I am a really good water drinker and with not drinking the soda, I am drinking more water and it feels great to be hydrated!!

I'm Loving: Of course the 2 loves of my life, our little Macy girl and my hubby!

Your most favorite picture of your pet. I know I know, Only one photo? yeah. I mean you all gotta have that "one" that trumps them all right?

Here's my pick: it is hard to just pick one picture of my sweet little Macy girl, but I am going to pick this one because my father in law took some pictures of Macy around my birthday and then my in-laws gave me a sweet little Chihuahua picture frame with this picture in it! Isn't she just so sweet! We just love her to pieces!

What a sweet and spoiled little girl we have! <3

Happy Tuesday, some of my favorites.

I have been seeing lots of people sharing what some of their favorite things are and I thought I would share some of mine and hopefully you will share yours with me!

1. Favorite foundation: I have tried a million different types of foundation and I have settled on Clinque's Super balanced makeup, it goes on so smooth and gives me just the right coverage!

2. Favorite Perfume: I use to have quite the collection of perfumes, but as the years have gone on I have slowly gotten rid of them and have stuck to just a few that I like, I am always looking for news one though, I j have not found one that my nose likes :) So right now I am wearing Burberry Perfume for Women.



3. Favorite Chapstick: This one has been my hands down go to chapstick for many years, I just love it!! Chapstick brand medicated!!! I have about 30 of them around the house and a couple in my car and at my desk at work! :) It goes on so smooth and helps my lips tremendously with the dry and LONG winter months here in Iowa.

4. Favorite Body Lotion: If my husband was to answer this, he would tell you I love them all, I really do try many lotions and I am just finally settling on a couple that I like, so this one is still in the air for what I LOVE, but right now I am using Cetaphil body lotion and it seems to be doing the job, but I am not sold on this one yet!

5. Favorite Book: I have read many books over the years, but one of my all time favorites is Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas by James Patterson, I read the entire book in one day and still love it!!! 



I hope I can learn a little more about you and what your favorites are.

Today, my sister Jaime and I are starting our boot camp, so wish us luck! :) I might be sore tomorrow when I come to work............ I will keep you up to date on the details! But no pain no gain right?!

Also, I stumbled across these cool posters you can frame, check them out here they only make a few of the locations, but Iowa is one they have visited. I am excited to order the University of Iowa one and get it framed for our basement!! GO HAWKS!!!

Weekend Recap

Is it really Monday already??

We didn't have a real exciting weekend, it was nice to relax and get a few housekeeping duties done! On a good note, we had 70 degree weather this weekend! Sunday the weather was very warm and a bit humid and we were hit with some thunderstorms Sunday night, in some parts of Iowa they got hail around the size of BASEBALLS!! And today our high is suppose to be 45 degrees! We went from close to 80 to 45........ :(

I spent some time cleaning up our kitchen after the installation of our new appliances and trying to organize our refrigerator! I also needed to catch up some laundry do you ever feel like you are drowning in laundry??? Well that is how I felt this weekend! :) Usually I am pretty good about doing a couple loads during the week, but I was not good about it last week and since I was gone to Chicago the weekend before you can imagine I felt like this lady!!

Tomorrow starts my boot camp and I am excited to get ready for short weather and shed some of this "winter weight" I am sure I will not be excited about it once it starts, but in the end I will be happy about it! 
I also spent some time watching the Eagles, as mentioned in my previous post, I watched all evening on Friday and guess what the egg hatched around 2 a.m.!!! I was so sad I missed it, but the baby eagle is so funny and the second egg hatched on Sunday, so I am hopeful the third egg hatches today, so all the kids that have been following this in school get to see it :) Here is a link to watch the second egg hatch and to see both the mom eagle and dad eagle, it is interesting!

Next weekend, I am going to try and get a head start on my flowers! I have an idea of what I want to get, it is just getting around to doing it :) What do you plant? I am needing suggestions for full sun and partial sun?  

I have a busy work week this week, so I will try and keep up with blogging! I hope everyone had a great weekend! Did you do anything fun?

Oh Friday!

I am glad it is Friday, I have a to do list at work I need to tackle and get everything ready for Monday. The hubby and I don't really have plans for the weekend, which is nice, I am sure by the end of today I will have a to do list that is a mile long :)

I am going to relax and start reading some of the books I have been suggested to read! If you have any boos for recommend send them my way! I also have a stack of magazines that is a mile high, I really should tackle those too :) What is your favorite magazine subscription you get? I would have to say one of mine is All You, it has great coupons and also easy DIY projects and other information for every day living.

 If you have not heard about this, you should check it out! Here in the great state of Iowa, we are watching a Bald Eagle and waiting for her eggs to hatch, they are suppose to hatch sometime today and I am anxious to watch them! Here is the link. I think she looks so small in this video but in real life they dont' look very small!

My new appliances were delivered yesterday and I can't wait to load my refrigerator back up, we have been living on what could fit in our dorm size refrigerator we have in our basement!! Plus i am excited to try out the new dishwasher and see how quite it is :) After we finish our kitchen I will post all the before and afters :)
I am hoping we are going to break the grill out this weekend the weather is finally suppose to be in the low to mid 50's, which means it is warm tolerable enough that we can be outside to grill! Here is our forecast for the next week.... we are slowly getting to warmer Spring weather........But as you can see, we might get some flurries of snow........ The joys of living in Iowa <3

Need some help

Hey everyone! I am hoping I can get some help from you! I am wanting to have a "reply" button on my comments, so I can thank you and reply to your comments. Does anyone know how I can do this? I would also like to know how that reply can be sent to their email, so they know I sent a comment back :) I tried a tutorial, but I am not sure if I am missing something or not doing it right! ( I did add my blogger number, but I dont' see the reply button on my blog, oh boy.... html :))

Also still needing suggestions to help decorate my work space at work, check out the pictures here.

I'm Loving: My Nook Color! I was unsure how i would like not having a "book" but this is just so much easier to carry everything, books, magazines, plus i can browse the web with it too, and i love how it reads the kids books out loud! SO cute!!

I'm Loving: That we are seeing the sights of Spring, the grass is getting green and we are starting to see bulbs on the trees and some of my annual plants are just starting to come out of the ground!! What type of flowers or plants do you plant at your house?


I'm Loving:  My Kodak Pulse digital picture frame Joe got me for Christmas, it is great! When someone has a picture loaded to facebook and they tag me, it sends the picutre to my frame and I can add it if I want to, it does not have a memory stick, so everything is done from any computer you are at!! Everyday I have new pictures being sent to it! <3

 I'm Loving: My 2 new Vera Bradley items I bought over the weekend! I needed a new make up bag and wanted to get a colorful wallet for the summer!

 I'm Loving: My wonderful husband and sweet fur baby :) Macy is so anxious to see us when we get home from work, I love to hear her barking when I walk in the door, so sweet!! What does your pet do when you get home to show you they are excited?
