Happy Halloween, Happy Birthday & What I'm Loving Wednesday!

  I hope everyone had a great Halloween! We had a great day and i just love handing out candy to all the kids, plus they all love Macy :) We also got to see Lily and she was the cutest lady bug i have ever seen :) (of course i am not biased at all :))We went to my parents house to Lily all dressed up and i have been waiting for about 4 months for her to say my name and she gave me THE BEST early birthday present and said my name on Halloween! I was so happy!!! As you can tell she loves her Aunt Mel :) This is also my link up for What I'm Loving Wednesday it is all about my niece and Macy :)

Yesterday November 1st was my birthday, so it is always fun to have Halloween and then a birthday! But as you get older birthday's are just another day, but my wonderful husband got me a yummy cake and we had dinner and then just hung out with Macy. Joe was headed to Vegas today so we were busy getting things together for him, but i had a wonderful weekend and a wonderful Monday and Tuesday! Here is to enjoying my last year of being in my twenties!! :) Crazy huh? Below is the picture from my in-laws house on Sunday.

oh boy.... it has been awhile!

I am sorry to all my readers, (that are still reading) of my absence from blogging, i tell you i have been super busy and when i get home at night, there is always something that needs to get done! I have also been stressing out about what to wear for our family pictures we are having this weekend! So i will be posting pictures from our photo shoot later, i hope Macy is a good girl for the few pictures she will be in, and i also hope all of our outfits go together, it is hard planning for 8 people! As long as i am in the back hiding out they will look good ! :)

I love Halloween and i am so excited to see all the trick or treaters and we also get to see our niece she is going to be a lady bug, i bet she will be the cutest bug around :) Macy is going to be a pumpkin because she is my sweet little pumpkin :) Are you dressing your pets, if so what are they going to be? Here is a picture of the "lady bug in the grass" How sweet is she? She is also brushing her teeth in the other one, she has quite the seat huh? :)

Joe and I are off to a wedding this weekend too! I really love weddings, but i am terrible at taking pictures, we shall see how i do, i am hoping for birthday which is coming up soon, i will be getting a new DSLR camera hint hint hubby ;)

Happy Birthday

I feel bad i didn't get to post this on Sunday, but i going to do the post even though it is a couple days late!

I wanted to wish my wonderful Husband Joe a Happy 30th Birthday!! He is my rock and my best friend, i could not ask for a better husband! He is caring, loving and is also a great fur daddy to our sweet fur baby Macy! :)

We had a nice weekend for his birthday and did a lot, here is a few pictures of him on his big day, we celebrated with a cookie cake, just him and I and then he had Cheesecake with his family! Too many sweets for this lady who is trying to lose some weight :) We also went to the pumpkin patch to get our pumpkins it was a beautiful day but really windy, it is very dry in Iowa right now, but today we got some much needed rain!



Macy was very interested in the cookie cake, she wouldn't even look at me :)
NO we don't feed her people food :)

What I'm Loving Wednesday

I'm Loving:  My front door :) after i put the "welcome" sign up i think it looks nice and welcoming :)

I'm Loving:  That my class reunion is this weekend! Can't wait to see everyone! It should be a good time, it looks like the weather is going to be nice too, so that will be great!

I'm Loving: Sparkpeople.com if you have not checked it out do so, i have been tracking my calories and fitness for 3 weeks today and so far i down about 5 pounds, it is such a great thing and they give you great ideas on exercise and food options :)

I'm Loving: Of course the love of my life my hubby and our sweet fur baby Macy :)

Weekend Projects

I have had some Uppercase Living stuff that needed to be put on the boards and our door, so this weekend i made put those tasks at the top of my to-do list :) Along with CLEAN my house, it has been getting neglected lately! I have been super busy at work and then it seems like we have had something going on, on the weekends and the time gets away from me!!

So here is my 3 projects i did, well actually the hubby did the putting of the material on the boards and doors, i just did the painting :) Isn't he the best!

I painted the boards a pumpkin orange and then debated whether or not to paint the other white or or a pine green, i decided you would be able to see the red on the white better, then i needed to touch up our door to place the welcome sign! So here is the outcome!! I am excited to get my "spooktacular" sign hung today for Halloween :)

The hubby surprised me with these pretty flowers for our Anniversary on Thursday! I love to have fresh flowers in the house and was SO surprised he bought these for me!! Love him :)

Happy Anniversary! Hard to believe it has been 4 years!

 On this day 4 years ago, i said "I Do" and could not be any happier today! I married my best friend! It is hard to believe how fast the last 4 years have gone! I wouldn't change anything! Love you Joe!! We are going to be celebrating the day by working, going to school and then having dinner out! We lead a very exciting life! :) I will share more about our wedding day soon! I need to add more to our love story tab!

We had a beautiful day, it was 74 degrees and partly sunny! I was nervous about rain, but it held off and didnt' rain that day! We had a great day spent with friends and family!

Hope you enjoyed the pictues! I hope to have a recap of our day before our 5 year anniversay!! :)

Fall in Love

I am linking up with Big City Belle for her Fall in Love link up! How can you not love fall and all the great things it has to offer.

Up first of my list is as i lay on my couch and look out my picture window this is what is starting to form :) LOVE! I complain about this tree in the spring because it has helicopters and i don't like that they plug up my gutters and cover my yard, but in the fall it is really pretty! I guess we have a love hate relationship :)

I also am not a coffee drinker, but every once in awhile i crave some warm goodness and i head to get a Pumpkin Spice Latte from Starbucks, as does 90% of the population :) Too good to pass up as the seasons are changing the the weather is getting chilly!

Apples are another great thing that comes with fall, i crave and wait patiently for Honeycrisp apples to hit the shelves at my local grocery store! I scored a couple this past weekend! WooHoo :) With honeycrisp apples i also look forward to apple crisp (no i do not make my apple crisp with those expensive but yummy apples) It is not fall with out apple crisp :) Do you have a great recipe? If so i would love to try it!~
