I have decided to try this blog thing to keep everyone posted on the things going on in our lives. I can't believe today is the 7th anniversary of 9/11, i remember that day like it was yesterday. I am still saddened by all the lives that were lost and i still pray for the families of the victims.
In 11 days Joe and i will be celebrating our 1 year anniversary!!! We are so excited, we were visiting last night when he got home and we both said we couldn't believe how fast the year went by. We are growing as a couple and i know i chose the best person in the world to share the rest of my life with, i can't wait to see where our future takes us.
My grandparents are selling their house they have lived in for 50 years and are downsizing, they had an offer go in today on the house i have not heard back on what the outcome was. I have mixed emotions about the whole thing, it is going to be weird to drive by that house and know they don't live there, we have spent many holidays and other occasions there. They have purchased a new home, which is very cute and perfect for them and their new love Brutus their black pug, he is adorable!! :) He is spoiled rotten and keeps them going every day.
As for our careers, i am still waiting to land my dream job in health care, but i am being patient and waiting until that day comes. Joe is still working at the hospital, he now has weekends off which is a change for both of us because for the last 5 years he has never had weekends off!!!
Saturday is one of my favorite days of the year!! It is the Iowa vs Iowa State game! I am a die hard hawkeye fan so i am going to be cheering for BLACK and GOLD!!!!
